Mammoths Storm Blazers, 9-6 for the Final

AMHERST, MA- The Elms College Baseball team fell short to a final score of 9-6 on Tuesday against the Amherst College Mammoths.

HOW IT HAPPENED

On Tuesday, April 25th the ElmsCollege Baseball team competed against the Amherst College Mammoths where they fell to a final score of 9-6.

The Mammoths racked up five runs in the bottom of the second inning including a homerun from C. Fagnant, holding a three lead run over the Blazers (5-2). 

The Blazers Scattered 7 hits and 6 RBI's in the nine inning ball game. Aaron Young (Somers, CT) recorded two of those RBI when he hit a home run over the left field fence in the top of the 8th inning. 

Elms rotated through pitchers with Ross Tine (Wethersfield, CT) throwing for the first two innings before Justin Saad (Waterford, CT) stepped on the hill. Saad would throw for four innings recording two strikeouts before TJ Alves (Ludlow, MA) would relieve him to throw for the final two innings.

On Saturday, April 29th the Blazers will honor their seniors before the conference double header against the Albertus Magnus Falcons. Depending on the weather the time and date for this game can change!
