BREWSTER, MA- Sophomore Miguel Pearce (Guilford, Ct.) fired a 163 over two days to tie for 55th on the leaderboard, as the Elms College Men's Golf team finished in a tie with Western Connecticut State University for 18th place in the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Men's Championship Tournament at The Captain's Course on Cape Cod this weekend.

New Golf Coach Joins Blazer Staff

CHICOPEE, MA – Elms College’s new golf coach came to the sport in a roundabout way. After spending his prep school career proving a valuable member of the Suffield Academy Varsity Squash and Baseball teams, Michael Achatz joined Connecticut College’s squash team as a camel. Despite two successful seasons, Achatz suffered a career-ending knee injury, taking him indefinitely away from the sport he had come to love.
