Two Blazers Earn GNAC Weekly Awards

WINTHROP, MA - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced their weekly award selections for the week ending on March 3rd, Monday evening.

Elms College athletes received two awards and three honor roll positions in baseball, men's lacrosse, softball, and men's volleyball. 

First-year Casey Dmochowski (Rutland, MA) was named GNAC Men's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week when he earned himself a victory for the Blazers when he collected 14 saves for Elms while only giving up three goals, earning a save percentage of 82.4 percent in the first game in program history last week against SUNY Cobleskill.

First-year Caity Flynn (Colchester, CT) was named GNAC Softball Rookie of the Week when she went 3-for-6 at the plate during Elms' 1-1 week. She collected all three hits in an 8-7 win over Bluffton, while also contributing two runs scored and an RBI to the 8-7 victory. She also had a solid performance in the circle, throwing 1 1/3 innings without allowing a run and striking out one.

Graduate student Collin Liedke (Newington, CT), senior AJ Cook (Mendon, MA), and first-year Luciano Jordan Canino (Dalton, MA) were each named to this week's Honor Roll for their impact in last week's contests for Elms.
