Blazers Hit 3 Four-Baggers Against Knights In Double Header Sweep

AUBURNDALE, FL: The Elms College Baseball Team opened up their week in Florida overpowering the Martin Luther King Knights in the double header on Saturday. The Blazers surged to victory outscoring the Knights 7-1 in the first game and 18-2 in the second.

How it Happened:
 
Elms College knocked in six runs in the fourth on its way to a 7-1 victory over Martin Luther College on Saturday.  George Chaya (Methuen, MA) and Nate Kelley (Hadley, MA) powered the big inning with RBIs. Martin Luther College got things moving in the first inning, when #11 doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
 
In the bottom of the first inning, Elms College tied things up at one.  Elms College scored one run when Josh Nohilly (Bristol, CT) singled.
 
Elms College pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Chaya doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs and Kelley homered on a 2-1 count, scoring four runs.
 
Kyle Sebastyanski (Auburn, MA) led things off on the mound for Elms College. The righty allowed three hits and one run over six innings, striking out nine.
 
#13 led things off on the hill for Martin Luther College. undefined allowed nine hits and seven runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two.  #20 threw two and a third innings out of the bullpen.
 
Elms College smacked one home run on the day. Kelley went for the long ball in the fourth inning.
 
Elms College scattered 11 hits in the game.  Chaya, AJ Cook (Menden, MA) , and Austin Roy (Cromwell, CT) all managed multiple hits for Elms College.  Roy, Cook, and Chaya each collected two hits to lead Elms College.  Elms College didn't commit a single error in the field. Tyler Galenski (Wilbraham, MA) had the most chances in the field with nine.
 
Martin Luther College was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. #20 had the most chances in the field with three.

How it Happened:
 
A ten-run third inning led Elms College to an 18-2 victory on Saturday.  Elms College put the pressure on, lead by singles by Josh Nohilly and CJ Moriarty (Glastonbury, CT), doubles by Austin Roy and Tyler Galenski, a walk by Chase Prestia (Newington, CT), a sac fly by Aaron Young (Somers, CT), and an error on a ball put in play by AJ Cook.
 
In the first inning, Elms College got their offense started.  Galenski drove in one when Galenski doubled.
 
Elms College tallied ten runs in the third inning.  Elms College offense in the inning was led by Nohilly, Moriarty, Roy, Cook, Galenski, and  Prestia, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
 
Ross Tine (Wethersfield, CT) got the start for Elms College. Tine lasted three innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out three and walking one.
 
Elms College smacked two home runs on the day. Moriarty had a long ball in the fifth inning. Young went for the long ball in the fifth inning.
 
Elms College saw the ball well today, racking up 17 hits in the game.  Galenski, Roy, Moriarty, and Young all managed multiple hits for Elms College.  Roy and Galenski each collected three hits to lead Elms College.  Elms College was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Young made the most plays with  six.
 
#6 led Martin Luther College with two hits in three at bats.
