Sports Medicine Mission Statement

The Department for Sports Medicine & Performance at Elms College operates with the goal of creating and maintaining a healthy environment where student-athletes can thrive spiritually, ethically, and intellectually within the college community. The scope of the athletic training staff within the Department includes healthcare service for injury and illness evaluation, recognition and prevention, rehabilitation, and patient education to ensure a safe and healthy environment for intercollegiate sport participation. The certified athletic training staff will establish a healthy and safe environment to enable recovery to full athletic participation and to empower student athletes for continued success and athletic development as a member of the college community and in their future endeavers.
