Blazers Drop Conference Double Header to AMCATS

PAXTON, MA - The Elms College Baseball team fell in both games against the Anna Maria AMCATS on Monday, April 3rd.

BASICS

Score: AMCATS 6 | Blazers 0

Records: AMCATS (9-10, 4-1) | Blazers (12-5, 3-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED

Kyle Sebastyanski (Auburn, MA) started the conference double header on the mound for the Blazers, recording 3 strikeouts in the 5 innings he pitched. The junior only let up 9 hits and 6 runs against the Anna Maria AMCATS.

The AMCATS were able to chalk up a run in the bottom of the second after A. Guitron was able to single through the right side to send H. Dunithan home. (1-0)

The game remained 1-0 till the bottom of the fifth when the AMCATS were able to add another five runs to the board after a 5 hit, 5 run inning. 

The Blazers were bale to get five hits off against the AMCATS, Senior Tyler Galenski (Wilbraham, MA) recorded 2 of the Blazers hits. 

Elms Baseball would fall to a fnal score of 6-0 after game 1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blazers opened up the first inning bringing home two runs including a sacrafice fly from Galenski and an RBI from Aaron Young

Henry Rondon (Ansonia, CT) started on the hill for the Blazers, the sophomore threw for 5 innings recording 2 strikouts, before junior Camden Murphy relieved him from the mound. Murphy would finish out the game letting up three hits against the AMCATS.

Anna Maria recorded back to back three run innings to grow surpass the Blazers for the lead 6-3 at the top of the fourth. In between the AMCATS power at bats the Blazers added another run to their score in the top of the third. George Chaya (Methuen, MA) was able to send the ball down the right field line to send home Aj Cook (Mendon, MA).

The game would stay at 6-3 for the rest of the game, with the Blazers falling to the Anna Maria AMCATS 0-2 in the double header on Monday afternoon.
