Men’s Golf Completes Day Two Action at NCAA Division III Championship
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Elms College men's golf team notched a day two combined score of 325 and finished with a two-day total of 663 to finish 39th overall following Wednesday's NCAA Division III Championship action at Grandover Golf Course West in Greensboro, N.C.
The Blazers finished 13 strokes better than Tuesday's round led by a 77 from senior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine). Freshman Chris Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) carded a round of 82, junior Nick Smith (Enfield, Conn.) and sophomore Brian Benson (Agawam, Mass.) followed with scores of 83, while senior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) secured a round of 84.
Brian Burt of Hampden-Sydney College was the individual leader after rounds one and two with scores of 67 and 69 (136). Jordan Coward of Southwestern University, Bobby Holden of Redlands College and Cheyne Kendall of Schreiner University each carded two day scores of 140.
The top 15 teams in the field of 41 advanced to rounds three and four along with the top six individuals who were not part of advancing teams.
