Men’s Golf Places 20th in Day One Action at Williams College Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Elms College freshman Chris Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) carded a first round score of 81 to help the Blazers to an overall score of 335 and 20th place finish following day one action at the Williams College Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Jeff Durkin of Trinity College shot an even-par 70 to lead the field of 120 golfers while Williams (297) is in first place in the 24 team field. Trinity follows with 300 points, while Skidmore College rounds out the top three with a first round mark of 303.

Elms senior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) followed Miele with a score of 83 and senior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) was just one stroke behind that with a first round score of 84. Junior Nick Smith (Enfield, Conn.) carded an 87 and sophomore Dan Olive (Jefferson Township, Pa.) finished with a 95.

Elms returns to action at the Williams Invitational on Sunday morning at Taconic Golf Club.
