Men’s Golf Places Third at Trinity College Invitational

HARTFORD, Conn. – Elms College senior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) carded a round of 74 to help the Blazers to an overall score of 633 and a share of third place following day two action at the Trinity College Invitational.

Host Trinity (606) won the team event and Amherst College (619) came in second ahead of Elms in third place.

The Bantams' Jeff Durkin carded a four-under-par 68 on day two and 145 over 36 holes to earn individual medalist honors two strokes ahead of Fall (147).

Fall shot 34 on the back nine and earned a two-over-par 74 on day two to help the Blazers secure their top three finish in the field of nine teams. He finished in a tie for second overall with a two-day total of 147. 

Junior Nick Smith (Enfield, Conn.) shot a 76, Chris Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) added a 79, and sophomore Dan Olive (Jefferson Township, N.J.) tabbed an 83 to give Elms a second day score of 313. Senior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) chipped in an 85.

Elms is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15 at the Middlebury College Invitational.
