Men’s Golf Places Second at Emmanuel College Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – Elms College sophomore Dan Olive (Jefferson Township, N.J.) shot a team-low round of 78 and the Blazers totaled a score of 332 in Wednesday afternoon's golf invitational hosted by Emmanuel College at William J. Devine Golf Course.

Suffolk University won the event with a team score of 328, followed by Elms with 332 and host Emmanuel with 346 strokes. The Rams' Joe Surace earned individual medalist honors with a low round of 74.

Olive led Elms with a round of 78 and finished second overall, followed by junior Alison Cowles (East Longmeadow, Mass.) who carded an 82 and senior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) who registered an 84.

Freshmen Brian Benson (Agawam, Mass.) and Ryan Finneral (Tewksbury, Mass.) followed with respective rounds of 88 and 90.

Elms concludes the fall portion of its 2013-14 schedule on October 26-28 at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship.
