Men’s Golf Fifth Following Day One of ECAC Division III New England Championship

BERNARDSTON, Mass. – The Elms College men's golf team is currently in fifth place after shooting a day one score of 328 at the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Championship at Crumpin Fox Golf Club and hosted by Springfield College in Bernardston, Mass.

Middlebury College leads the field of 14 teams with an overall score of 318, followed by Nichols College  and Endicott College (324), Western New England University (326), and Elms (328) to round out the top five.

Elms' senior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) and junior Nick Smith (Enfield, Conn.) are currently tied for 12th overall each with a day one round of 81, while senior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) and freshman Chris Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) each carded rounds of 83 and are tied for 23rd overall. Freshman Brian Benson (Agawam, Mass.) added a 98 on day one.

The Blazers will return to ECAC Division III Championship action on Sunday, October 13 at 12:30 p.m.
