Men’s Golf Places Fourth in Day One of Trinity College Invitational

HARTFORD, Conn. – Elms College senior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) shot a one-over-par 73 and finished second overall and the Blazers recorded a team score of 320 to place fourth in day one action of the Trinity College Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Host Trinity shot 312 on day one led by a pair of 77s from Greg Palmer and Jeff Durkin to tie for fifth overall. Amherst College also shot 312 on the strength of Josh Moser (3rd-75) and Nicholas Koh (4th-76) to tie for top team honors, while Springfield College came in third (319) behind day one individual medalist Kyle DiFranco who carded an even par 72.

The Blazers placed fourth, followed by Babson College (325), Western New England University (326), Nichols College (327), Worcester State University (341) and Wesleyan University (Conn.) (346).

Freshman Chris Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) shot 79 and tied for 10th overall, senior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) notched a round of 83 and junior Nick Smith (Enfield, Conn.) finished with an 85. Sophomore Dan Olive (Jefferson Township, N.J.) rounded out the lineup with an 86.
