Men’s Golf Places Ninth at Hampton Inn Collegiate Invite

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Elms College senior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) shot a 78 on day two and a combined score of 153 to finish second overall as the Blazers (664) finished ninth following day two action of the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invite on Saturday afternoon hosted by UMass-Dartmouth.

Amherst College won the event with a two-day score of 634, while Rhode Island College placed second with 639 points, followed by the host Corsairs with 641 points to round out the top three teams in the field of 17 squads.

Amherst's Josh Moser (152) tallied a low score of 73 on Saturday and earned individual medalist honors while Fall finished just one stroke behind with 153.

Senior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.), junior Nick Smith (Enfield, Conn.) and freshman Chris Miele (South Hadley, Mass.) each finished tied for 48th overall with a two-day total of 172, while sophomore Brian Benson (Agawam, Mass.) was two shots behind with 174.

Cudnik shot an 81 on Saturday, Smith carded an 82, Miele notched an 87 and Benson finished with an 88.

Elms returns to action on Friday, April 18-19 at the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats Invitational in Providence, R.I.
