Midura Knocked Down Six 3Pt-Shots in Loss Against Falcons

NEW HAVEN, CT- The Elms College Men's Basketball team fell in their final match up against the Albertus Magnus Falcons Tuesday night, 88-74 for the final.

How it Happened

The Elms men had two players score in the twenties on Tuesday night against the Albertus Magnus Falcons with Tahquell Cadle (Bridgeport, CT) putting up 29 points followed by Jake Midura (Chicoppee, MA) who added 24 points.

Within the first half the Falcons were led by Tazhon Daniels and Jacqual Gertrude who both added 10 points each to their 36-28 lead over the Blazers. Recording 12 boards in the first half the Blazers fell behind as the Falcons attained 19, with 13 of them being defensive boards denying the Elms men any second chance opportunities. The Albertus men were able to snag 12 steals, with four from Tazhon Daniels helping the Falcons gain their lead over the Blazers. Elms was able to out score Albertus from beyond the arc registering a 40% success rate from the three with 4-10 for the half, where the Falcons shot 25% from the arc. Heading into the second half the Blazers trailed behind the Falcons, 36-28.

With a big half from Cadle (22) and Midura (18) the Blazers stayed in the game till the final minutes, with both men scoring in the double digets. For majority of the second half the Blazer men were able to keep the score within a 10 point gap, unable to bring the game to less than a couple points differencial. With a minute left in the game the score sitting at 80-70, the Falcons were able to make the conference win definitive as they built upon their lead even more. The Elms men were able to add four more points till the final twenty seconds in the game with a made jump shot by Cadle to finish out the game with a final of 88-74.
