FRANKLIN MA- The Elms College Men's Basketball team lose conference win to the Dean College Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon in Pieri Gymnasium, 82-66 for the final.

How it happened
The Blazers were unable to buy a basket for the first 4 minutes of the game, falling behind as the Dean College Bulldogs put up nine points. It wasnt until RJ Mayfield (Springfield, MA) was able to get the Blazers on the board with an assist from Tahquell Cadle at the 15:55 minute mark. Early in the first half Elms fell to a large lead by the Bulldogs of 27-9 with 12 minutes left till the half.With a minute left in the game the Lightning were able to bring the gap to a 10 point difference of 40-30 with a three pointer knocked down by Jake Midura (Chicopee, MA). Midura finished the half going 3-3 from beyond the arc in the first half putting up 11 points to help with the Blazers make their comeback. The Lightning would finish out the half going on a 7-0 point run with a made 3 pointer by Jacob Cancel (Northampton, MA), bringing the score to 40-37 with the Bulldogs leading by three.
The Blazers kept the second half a ten point game till just past the 8 minute mark when the Bulldogs began their final run. Dean was able to build their lead even more from offensive put backs, scoring only two pointers for the rest of the game. The Blazers played clean defensive keeping the second half to only 5 fouls, and sent the Bulldogs to the line one time in the second half. The Bulldogs finsihed out the game 82-66, adding a win to their conference record.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jake Midura finished the game with 16 points going 4-8 from the three
- RJ Mayfield filled te stat sheet with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.
- Vashon Wilson (New Haven, CT) went 3-4 frm the foul line for the Blazers
