Blazers go 62.5% From the Foul Line in Conference Play Against Pride
CHICOPEE, MA - The Men fell to the Regis Pride 77-70 on Saturday afternoon in Picknelly Arena.

How it Happened
The Pride and Blazers had an evenly matched up first half with both teams having success on their offensive ends. The Pride went 42.3% from the field followed by the Blazers with 41.4%, with both teams finishing out the half shooting 50% from the free throw line. First year Jake Midura (Chicopee, MA) put up 8 points for the Blazers, going 2-5 from beyond the arc. Another Blazer who filled the stat sheet in the first half was senior Juan Macklin (Sayerville, NJ) adding 8 points, 4 boards, 1 assist, and handed out 1 block for the Lightning. In the first half the score had been tied up five times with six lead changes including the Blazers grabing the lead in the final twenty seconds of play with a layup by Tahquell Cadle (Brideport, CT) to put the Blazers up 30-28 heading into the half.
The Blazers continued their lead for four minutes into the second half till the Pride tied the score up, 35-35 with a three point shot made by Gehrigi Brynda. With a little over fourteen minutes left in the game Blazer's forward, Macklin was able to float in a layup to tie up the game (37-37) for the Lightnings final chance at taking the lead back. Even though the Elms Men continued to knock down shots they were always one step behind the Pride. The visiting Regis College Pride secured the conference victory over the Elms College Blazers, 77-70 for the final.
