Men’s Volleyball Swept In Tri-Match With MIT And Emmanuel
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Elms College
men’s volleyball team suffered a pair of losses to MIT and
Emmanuel College in Saturday afternoon’s men’s
volleyball tri-match in Cambridge, Mass.
Elms lost 3-0 (12-30, 24-30, 18-30) to host MIT in North East
Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division
action, before falling 3-0 (19-30, 18-30, 17-30) to Emmanuel in
non-conference play. The Blazers are now 4-15 on the season, 4-6
NECVA.
Against the Engineers, sophomore outside hitter Yonalvy
Acosta (Holyoke, Mass.) notched 10 digs, downed three
kills and added 10 blocks, while sophomore setter Mike
Martin (Enfield, Conn.) registered three kills, three digs
and stuffed two blocks.
Sophomore opposite hitter Mike Kleckner (Bethlehem,
Pa.) added three kills, three digs and two blocks in the
losing effort for the Blazers.
Elms returns to NECVA New England and New England Collegiate
Conference action on Friday, March 5 when it travels to Nashua,
N.H. to take on Daniel Webster College. First-serve is set for 7:00
p.m.
