CHICOPEE, Mass. - Elms College sophomore field hockey player Ashley Reid (Enfield, Conn.) has been selected to represent the United States in the 2013 Italy International Field Hockey Tour scheduled for June of this year.

The U.S. International competitive team consists of All-Conference, All Region and All-American players from the Division I, II and III levels.

Reid will be part of Team AIST and travel to Italy to compete against club and national teams made up of individuals from several different colleges to make a competitive all-star team.

Not only will Reid be competing against top competition from around the world, she will also have the opportunity to play with the top athletes from the U.S. and around the world.

At Elms, Reid was awarded the 2011 Coaches Award, and named to the 2012 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) All-Tournament team. Reid had three defensive saves and three assists and was instrumental in helping Elms post its best-ever NECC season (5-1) since 1994.
