Sixteen Field Hockey Players Named to 2012 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Elms College field hockey team had 16 players named to the 2012 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2012-13 academic year.

Juniors Julie Hurley (Palmer, Mass.) and Brianna Lyons (Canton, Mass.), sophomores Meghan Goodrow (Sunderland, Mass.), Hannah Hellstein (Feeding Hills, Mass.), Allie LaMonica (Salem, Mass.), Bridget Lynch (Middleboro, Mass.), Kelly Martin (Enfield, Conn.), Hannah O'Brien (Granby, Mass.), Elizabeth Patient (Leicester, Mass.) and Jacly Soderquist (Enfield, Conn.), as well as freshmen Samantha Alvino (Holtsville, N.Y.), Colleen Carbonneau (Manchester, N.H.), Kristina Kopyscinski (Agawam, Mass.), Allison Masi (West Springfield, Mass.), Abby McNulty (Bedford, Mass.) and Haleigh Varieur (Winchendon, Mass.) all made the squad.
