Field Hockey Claims Second Seed in 2012 NECC Championship Tournament

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Elms College field hockey team claimed the second seed in the 2012 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship tournament as announced by the league office on Monday. 

Second-seed Elms (7-11, 5-1 NECC) will host third-seed Becker College (4-13, 4-2 NECC) in a semifinal matchup on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

Top-seeded Anna Maria College (12-7, 6-0 NECC) will host Wheelock College (3-10, 3-3 NECC) in the other semifinal contest on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

The semifinal winners will meet at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, November 3rd. Game times are tenative. Teams are seeded on based on predetermined tiebreakers.
