Nashua, NH- Elms College freshman goalkeeper
Alexandra Bonavita (Agawam, MA) denied nine shots,
but Daniel Webster sophomore Natalie Bates (North
Kingstown, RI) scored her third hat trick of the year to
lift Daniel Webster to a 4-0 win over the Blazers in a New England
Collegiate Conference (NECC) contest Tuesday afternoon at Harvey
Woods Field.
The loss drops Elms to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in NECC play, while
Daniel Webster remains undefeated at 5-0 and 3-0 in the
conference.
Samantha Bark (Belfast, ME) netted her first
collegiate goal in the opening minutes and Bates notched her 10th,
11th, and 12th goals of the year. Bates made her first two
unassisted, but used a pass from teammate Christal
Fitzgerald (Sydney, Australia) to score her final
goal.
Elms returns to Leary Field Thursday, Sept. 24 at 4:00 p.m. in a
non-conference showdown with Westfield State. The Blazers return to
NECC action Tuesday, Sept. 29 hosting Bay Path College.
