Men's Golf in Eighth Place on Day One of Wildcats Spring Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Elms College junior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) shot a round of 77 and finished in a tie for fifth place overall and the Blazers shot 328 as a team to place eighth out of 15 teams in day one action at the Wildcats Spring Invitational hosted by Johnson & Wales University on Saturday afternoon in Providence, R.I.

After day one, Salem State University leads the field with a combined score of 316, while UMass-Dartmouth (319) and Rhode Island College (320) rounded out the top three teams on Saturday.

Babson College's Wesley Tryhane shot a low round of 73 and earned invidual medalist honors on Saturday as the Beavers finished in a tie for ninth place. 

Sophomore Nick Smith (Enfield, Conn.) and senior Phil Rurak (Wilbraham, Mass.) tied for 43rd place with rounds 83 and junior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) was two strokes behind with a round of 45 to help Elms to its team score of 328. Freshman Dan Olive (Jefferson Township, N.J.) carded a round of 95. 

The Blazers return to action on Sunday, April 21 at 11:30 a.m. for round two.
