Cudnik Earns Individual Medalist Honors as Men's Golf Wins Emmanuel Quad Match
BOSTON, Mass. – Elms College junior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) earned individual medalist honors shooting a collegiate-career low round of 70 to help spark the Blazers to a team score of 307 and earn first place in Wednesday afternoon's quad match hosted by Emmanuel College at Franklin Park.
Elms was first with a team score of 307, followed by host Emmanuel with a combined score of 325. Suffolk University followed in third place (330) and Daniel Webster College came in fourth with an overall score of 360.
Cudnik shot back-to-back 35s en route to his winning round of 70, followed by junior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) who was two strokes off the lead with a mark of 72.
Senior Phil Rurak (Wilbraham, Mass.) added a score of 80 and freshman Lana O'Connor (East Longmeadow, Mass.) turned in a score of 85 to help Elms post its final score of 307. Sophomore Alison Cowles (East Longmeadow, Mass.) rounded out the Blazers' lineup with a score of 96 during Wednesday's quad match.
Elms returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 6-7 at the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship hosted by Daniel Webster.
