Men's Golf Places in a Tie for Tenth Overall at the Hampton Inn Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Elms College men's golf team placed in a tie for 10th overall in the Hampton Inn Invitational hosted by UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon.

Nichols College's Colin Whitney shot an even-par round of 72 and garnered individual medalist honors and teammate Kevin Wheeler was one stroke behind with a 73 to lead the Bison to a second place score of 312.

UMass-Dartmouth won the invitational with an overall score of 305, Amherst College and Tufts University tied for third place with scores of 315 and Husson University was a stroke behind that with a 316 to round out the the top five teams.

Elms' junior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) tied for third overall with a round of 74, while sophomore Nick Smith (Enfield, Conn.) carded a round of 81. Junior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.), and senior Anthony Roberts (Ludlow, Mass.) finished with rounds of 83 and 86 respectively, while senior Phil Rurak (Wilbraham, Mass.) notched a round of 89.

Elms is back in action on Thursday, April 18 at Western New England University.
