Men's Golf Places Fourth at Myrtle Beach Shootout
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Elms College sophomore Nicholas Smith (Enfield, Conn.) shot a round of 78 - just two strokes behind the medalist - to help pace the Blazers to a score of 332 and a fourth place finish at the Myrtle Beach Shootout.
Denison College, led by individual medalist Jack Tomashot (76), won the event with a combined score of 313. Kenyon College (320), Albion College (328) and Elms (332) rounded out the four-team field.
Junior Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) and senior Dan Costello (Brookfield, Conn.) followed with rounds of 83, while junior Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) rounded out the Elms scorers with a mark of 88.
Elms returns to action at the Rhode Island College Invitational on Friday April 5 and Saturday, April 6.
