Men’s Golf Places Fifth at Worcester State University Invitational

Final Results

WORCESTER, Mass. – Elms College sophomore Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) notched five birdies and shot a five-over-par 77 to finish tied for second individually overall as the Blazers finished one stroke ahead of Anna Maria College in fifth place during Worcester State University Invitational men's golf action on Tuesday afternoon.

Salem State University's Nick Zolotas carded a sensational round of 66 (-6) including a 32 on the front nine to capture individual medalist honors. The Vikings also won the team event with an overall score of 312.

Western New England University finished second with a team  score of 326, Rhode Island College finished third (327), Endicott College (332) placed fourth, followed by Elms in fifth with a score of 335 to round out the top third of the 15-team field.

Blazers' freshman Nicholas Smith (Enfield, Conn.) was just three strokes behind Fall to card a round of 80 and place in a tie for seventh overall, while sophomore Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) registered an 18-hole score of 86. Junior Daniel Costello (Brookfield, Conn.) rounded out the scoring four with a round 92, followed by junior David Pianki's (West Suffield, Conn.) 94.  

Elms returns to action on Thursday, April 19 at the Westfield State University Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
