Men’s Golf in Third Place After Day One at Hampton Inn Invitational

Day One Results

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Elms College sophomore Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) shot an opening round of 77 and finished in a tie for third place as the Blazers posted a team score of 322 and also finished third as a team during day one action at the Hampton Inn Invitational hosted by UMass-Dartmouth.

Husson University leads the 18-team field with an overall score of 310, followed by Salem State University (317) in second and Elms in third.

Springfield College's Chris Vincent carded the low individual round of the day with a score of 75 to lead a pack of 88 golfers.

Elms' junior Philip Rurak (Wilbraham, Mass.) tallied a first round score of 81, followed by sophomore Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) at 81 and freshman Nicholas Smith (Enfield, Conn.) at 84 to round out the Blazers' four scoring golfers. Sophomore Kyle Simard (Thorndike, Mass.) added a round of 88 during Friday's 18 holes.

Hampton Inn Invitational action concludes on Saturday, April 14 with tee times set for 10:00 a.m.
