Men’s Golf Places Seventh at Rhode Island College Spring Invitational

Final Results

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Elms College sophomore golfer Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) shot a round of 79 and finished in a tie for third individually overall during action at the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational.

Elms, which shot 344 as a team, placed seventh place after the first 18 holes. Junior Philip Rurak (Wilbraham, Mass.) finished four strokes behind Fall with a score of 83, while sophomores Kyle Simard (Thorndike, Mass.), Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) and freshman Nicholas Smith (Enfield, Conn.) each shot an opening round of 91 to round out the Blazers' lineup.

Husson University finished first with a team score of 317, led by individual medalist, Chris Hamel who carded an even-par 72. The host Anchormen took second place (318) followed by Endicott College (334).

Second-round action scheduled for Saturday is cancelled due to inclement weather.
