Men’s Golf In Tie For First After Day One At NYU/Manhattanville Invitational

Suffern, N.Y. – Elms College freshman golfer Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) carded a first-round score of 72 to finish with a combined score of 308 and a share of first place following day one action at the New York University (NYU)/Manhattanville College Invitational Tournament.

SUNY Delhi and Elms lead the eight-team field with first round scores of 308, while Adelphi University, Manhattanville, and NYU "A" are in a three-way tie for third place with a score of 316. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) is in sixth place (324), NYU "B" is in seventh with a score of 328 and Stevens Institute of Technology is in the eighth slot with a tally of 345.

Fall leads all individual golfers by two strokes, followed by SUNY Delhi's Ryan Evans who shot a first round 74.

Blazers' sophomores Anthony Roberts (Ludlow, Mass.) and Phil Rurak (Wilbraham, Mass.) finished within one stroke of each other (77 and 78 respectively), while freshman Kyle Simard (Thorndike, Mass.) totaled an 81 during opening round action. Freshman Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) rounded out the squad with an 83.

Elms returns to NYU/Manhattanville Invitational action on Sunday, Oct. 17. Tee-off is slated for 10:00 a.m.
