Fall, Lipscomb Named NECC Players Of The Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College junior field hockey play Jenna Lipscomb (Cambridge, Mass.) and freshman golfer Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) were named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) players of the week in their respective sports as announced by the league office on Monday.

Lipscomb earned NECC Player of the Week accolades in field hockey following a strong showing in her debut between the pipes for Elms. Despite a 7-0 loss, Lipscomb faced 34 shots on net and collected 26 saves, 18 of which came in the first 35 minutes of play. This is Lipscomb’s first NECC weekly honor of the 2010 season.

Fall earned his first NECC weekly award thanks to a second place finish overall at the Skidmore Fall Invite after shooting a one-over par 73 on day one, and an even-par 72 on day two of the two-day event. Fall’s round of 73 on the first day helped the Blazers earn a team score of 300, the lowest ever in program history. At the Blazers Invitational, Fall finished second behind sophomore teammate Anthony Roberts (Ludlow, Mass.) after carding a round of 77 at Westover Golf Course.
