Killion, Roberts And Fall Garner NECC Weekly Awards

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College junior women’s soccer player Jennifer Killion (Cambridge, Mass.), sophomore men’s golfer Anthony Roberts (Ludlow, Mass.) and freshman men’s golfer Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) each garnered weekly accolades as announced by the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) on Monday.

Killion was named NECC Player of the Week for the first time this season, leading Elms to a 2-0 week behind a three-goal, three-assist effort. In the Blazers’ NECC contest against Becker College on Oct. 16, Killion netted three goals and assisted on two others, sparking Elms to a 5-1 victory over the Hawks. In the squad’s midweek matchup against NECC rival Southern Vermont College on Oct. 13, Killion added an assist to help lift Elms to a 4-0 win over the Mountaineers.

Roberts earned his first NECC Player of the Week honors after carding a pair of 77s at the two-day New York University (NYU)/Manhattanville College Invitational at Spook Rock Golf Course. Roberts’ two-round total of 154 landed him in a tie for seventh place overall helping lift the Blazers to their sixth invitational victory of the fall season.

Fall was named the league’s rookie of the week after notching a combined score of 146 for the tournament. On day one, Fall notched an impressive par 72 and followed that with a 74 on day two to help pace Elms to a total score of 619. For his efforts, Fall finished the two rounds in second place overall en route to claiming his third weekly accolade of the season.
