Men’s Golf Competes In Day One Action Of Skidmore Fall Invite

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Elms College men's golf team had all four of its scoring participants shoot under 80 to help the Blazers to a team score of 300 and a first place finish in day one action of the Skidmore Fall Invite at Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

SUNY Farmingdale finished in second place (302), while Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) rounded out the top three with a team score 305 in the nine team field.

Freshman Henry Fall (Harpswell, Maine) led the Blazers with a low round of one-over-par 73, followed by sophomore Phil Rurak's (Wilbraham, Mass.) score of 74. Freshman Kyle Simard (Thorndike, Mass.) and senior Andrew Sullivan (West Springfield, Mass.) placed third and fourth for Elms with rounds of 75 and 78 respectively to round out the squad's four scorers.

Elms returns to the two-day Skidmore Fall Invite on Monday, Sept. 13 at 9:00 a.m. at Saratoga Springs.
