Men's Golf Completes Day One Action At Piney Preamble

NORWOOD, N.C. – Elms College freshman golfer Philip Rurak (Wilbraham, Mass.) carded a Blazers’ low round of 83 on the first day of action at the Piney Preamble hosted by Pfeiffer University in Norwood, N.C. on Friday.

Elms registered a team score of 343 to finish fourth out of four teams as freshman Anthony Roberts (Ludlow, Mass.) and Dave Pianki (West Suffield, Conn.) turned in rounds of 85 and 86 respectively. Junior Andrew Sullivan (West Springfield, Mass.) rounded out the Blazers’ top four scorers with an 89 on the day.

The Piney Preamble is Elms' first competition of the spring season. The Blazers will next take on UMass-Dartmouth on April 10-11.

Elms concludes play at the Piney Preamble on Saturday, March 13 at 12:00 p.m.
