DUDLEY, MA – Nichols College freshman
golfer Joe Gallagher (Hopewell Junction, NY) won
individual medalist honors with an impressive round of 72 to help
the Bison to a team score of 304 and a victory at the Nichols
College Golf Invitational at Dudley Hill Golf Course on Friday.
For the second straight week, Elms College junior golfer
Andrew Sullivan (West Springfield, MA) shot a 76,
this time with a 38 on both the front and back nines. Freshmen
David Pianki (West Suffield, CT) and
Daniel Costello (Brookfield, CT) finished with
rounds of 86 and 87 respectively, while classmate Kyle
Panek (Belchertown, MA) chipped in a 113 on the afternoon.
The Blazers finished fourth out of four at the invitational,
registering a team score of 362.
Anna Maria finished second with a total score of 339, while
Mitchell claimed third place team honors with a score of 354.
Jon-Paul Chouinard (Natick, MA) delivered a round
of 73 and finished second overall and three of the Bison’s
four scorers all finished under 80 in the winning effort.
Sullivan’s mark of 76 was good enough for third overall.
Elms next competes at MCLA on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 1:00 p.m.
