Women’s Volleyball Swept by Daniel Webster College, 3-0

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College junior outside hitter Christina Martin (Chicopee, Mass.) floored a match-high eight kills, but Daniel Webster College's Ally Hayden (Bedford, N.H.) distributed 18 assists to help lift the Eagles to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-16) sweep in Saturday afternoon's New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's volleyball match at Picknelly Arena.

With the loss, Elms falls to 9-15 overall, 2-4 in NECC action, while Daniel Webster improves to 14-7 on the season, 4-2 in conference play.

Hayden helped pace Daniel Webster to its sweep finding Kate-Lynn Breault (Hudson, N.H.) and Chelsey Crawford (Westfield, Mass.) for seven kills each.

Amanda  Wilson (Merrimack, N.H.) helped control the defensive side of the contest registering a team-high 13 digs, while Emily Travis (Somerset, Mass.) added 11 digs in the winning effort.

Breault added four service aces, while Hayden chipped in seven digs.

Martin blasted eight kills and dug 12 balls, while senior outside hitter Stacy Croteau (Agawam, Mass.) drilled four kills and amassed a team-high 13 digs in the contest.

Senior setter Jennifer Rego (Fall River, Mass.) dished out 14 assists and nine digs, while freshman libero Caitlyn Larvey (Greenfield, Mass.) contributed eight digs.

Elms returns to NECC action on Wednesday, Oct. 26 when it travels to Newbury College for a 7:00 p.m. contest in Brookline, Mass.
