Coach Tyler, Soutra Compete at Senior National Games

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Elms College head swim coach Bill Tyler and assistant coach Corey Soutra both competed at the Senior National Games in Cleveland, Ohio on July 20-22 which included over 11,000 athletes from across the nation.

Coach Tyler won the national title in the 500-yard freestyle (5:38.69) and took bronze in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.47) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.66). He also notched fourth place honors in the 100-yard freestyle, fifth in the 50-yard butterfly and finished sixth in the 50-yard freestyle.

Coach Soutra touched the wall in fourth place in both the 50-yard and 200-yard backstroke, was fifth in the 100-yard backstroke, sixth in the 50-yard breaststroke, seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke and placed eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke.
