Blazers Get Dealt a Pair of Losses at Tri-Match

WESTON, MA - The Elms College women's volleyball team came up short in both matches this morning against the Rivier Raiders (0-3) and the Regis Pride (0-3).

How it Happened
The Blazers nearly rallied for a set victory in the second set coming within striking distance falling only 4 points short. The Blazers were unable to secure a match point, falling to a 0-3 (15-25, 21-25, 19-25) final against the Rivier Raiders. Elms' first year Jaylen Holman led the Blazers with 12 assists. Alyssa Moore and Laura Jensen both had 11 digs in the match, followed closely by senior Jaylianne Ramos Figueroa logging in 10 digs. Figueroa and Jensen both led in kills for the Blazers with a combined of 17.


Elms was unble to keep the sets as close in the first and third sets against the Regis Pride, but rallied in the second almost clinching the set win falling two points short deep in the 20's. The Blazers would settle to a 0-3 loss to the Pride(14-25, 26-28, 17-25). Figueroa led the Blazers in kills with 12 in the match, Holman logged a double double with a total of 18 assists and 24 digs.
