Men's Golf Ninth at Western New England Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Elms College men's golf team wrapped up their 2015-16 season with a ninth-place finish at the Western New England Invitational, hosted at Veterans Memorial Golf Course Thursday afternoon.
The Blazers carded a team score of 329. Freshman Stone Oliver (Ellington, Conn.) led Elms with a team-low 77 to take a share of 12th on individual leaderboard. Seniors Brian Benson (Agawam, Mass.), and Dan Olive (Jefferson Township, N.J.), and freshman Chris Soderberg (Northampton, Mass.) each fired an 84 for a tie at 39th, while sophomore Brian Cowles (East Longmeadow, Mass.) was two strokes back with an 86 for a share of 46th.
Host Western New England won the event with a score of 291, followed by Salem State (305), Endicott (307), Western New England 'B' (311), Nichols (313), Westfield State (323), UMass-Dartmouth (324), Babson (325), Elms (329), and Springfield College (344).
