Blazers sophomore goalkeeper Alexandra Bonavita (Agawam, Mass.) was named NECC Player of the Week in field hockey for the second time this season. Despite posting a 0-2 record during the week, Bonavita collected 26 saves including 19 against non-conference foe Western New England College (WNEC) and seven stops in a narrow 1-0 loss to NECC rival Bay Path College. Bonavita now has 466 saves in two seasons and is third on the Blazers’ all-time saves list.

Elms’ freshman forward Nzigamasa Jonathan (Springfield, Mass.) was named NECC Co-Rookie of the Week in men’s soccer thanks to a three-goal, one-assist week. Jonathan tallied a hat trick in the Blazers’ 10-0 win over Wheelock College, helping lift Elms to its first conference victory. Jonathan also assisted a goal against the Wildcats. This is his first weekly accolade of the season.

Junior forward Jennifer Killion (Cambridge, Mass.) earned her third straight NECC Player of the Week honor in women’s soccer, helping Elms to a 2-0 week. Killion notched a pair of scores in each contest and added an assist to finish with nine points during the stretch.
