goalkeeper Molly Corse (Bernardston, MA) collected
13 saves but a trio of goals and an assist by Bianca
Germain (Albany, NY) paced Union College to a 9-0 victory
over the Blazers in Friday afternoon’s non-conference
women’s soccer game at College Park.
With the loss, Elms concludes regular season action 9-8-1
overall.
With the win, Union moves to 11-6 on the season.
Union used a steady offensive attack to seal its victory,
registering 22 shots in each half. Five players scored goals in the
first half to help the Dutchwomen stake a 5-0 lead at intermission.
Katie Weinstein (Marblehead, MA), Katie
McLean (Newton, MA) Allison Cuozzo (Norfolk,
MA), Taylor Breshnahan (Newburyport, MA)
and Germain each netted goals.
In the second stanza, Germain scored back-to-back goals at the
48:47 and 60:46 marks respectively, while Jocelyn Veilleux
(Westford, MA) capped the scoring with a pair of goals in
the 84th and 88th minutes.
Germain and Cuozzo each added an assist, while Rachel
Schneidman (Chappaqua, NY) delivered two assists in the
winning effort.
