CHICOPEE, MA – Elms College had three student-athletes garner New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) honors for the week of Oct. 19-25 as announced by the league office on Monday.

Freshman forward Tavish Leland (Bridgton, ME) was named the NECC men’s soccer rookie of the week.

For the second straight week, Gagne earned player of the week honors. Gagne single-handedly led the Blazers to a 5-1 victory over conference foe Becker netting all five goals. With this feat, Gagne became Elms’ all-time leading goal scorer with 44 career goals.

Corse posted 90 minutes of tough defense to help lift the Blazers to a 5-1 win over Becker. Corse batted away seven of the Hawks’ eight shots on net in the winning effort, helping Elms to its 6-1 NECC record. This is Corse’s third conference accolade of the season.

Leland played a major role in Elms’ 3-2 overtime win over NECC rival Southern Vermont.
