CAMBRIDGE, MA – Elms College freshman goalkeeper Molly Corse (Bernardston, MA) turned away six shots, but Lesley University received a pair of scores from Jodi Fralick (Woburn, MA) to help lift the Lynx to a 3-0 win over the Blazers in Sunday afternoon’s New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women’s soccer opener for both squads.

With the loss, Elms moves to 2-5 overall, 0-1 in conference play, while Lesley improves to 6-2-1 on the season and 1-0 in league action.

Fralick scored the first and last goals of the game for Lesley, scoring in the 29th minute and then again at the 59:48 mark to highlight the victory. On the final score, Fralick hooked up with her sister Jenna Fralick (Woburn, MA) as Jodi controlled the ball, dribbled through two defenders and placed the ball in the lower left corner of the net.

Lesley blasted 23 shots against the Blazers while Elms managed only six shots in the loss.

The Blazers return to the field on Tuesday, Sept. 29 when they travel to Southern Vermont for a NECC contest. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start.
