Pickett Named NECC Rookie of the Week
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Elms College sophomore forward JC Pickett (Chicopee, Mass.) was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week in women's basketball as announced by the league on Monday.
Pickett earned her first NECC weekly accolade of the season after helping the Blazers to a 1-1 week that featured a 70-49 victory over Becker College in which she scored a game-high and collegiate career-high 23 points, and a 66-58 loss to Regis. Against the Pride Pickett scored eight points and hauled in eight rebounds and finished with 21 boards for the week.
