French, Parks Named NECC Players of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Elms College senior men's basketball player Andre French (Torrington, Conn.) and sophomore women's basketball player Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) were each named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Players of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. 

French was named NECC Player of the Week for the first time this season following a team-high 23-point performance in a 77-72 overtime loss to Castleton State College and swished five three-pointers, including the game-tying trey to send the game to an extra frame. French also had five steals and an assist to go along with four rebounds. 

Parks garnered her second weely accolade of the season after netting 10 points and hauling in a team-high seven rebounds in a 67-33 non-conference loss to Westfield State University. Parks was 4 for 4 from the field in the first 20 minutes of action and added two assists in the losing effort.
