Parks Named to NEWBA Weekly Honor Roll
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Elms College sophomore forward Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the organization on Monday.
Through the first three games of the 2012-13 season, Parks, who was also named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week, has averaged a double-double of 19.7 points and 13.0 rebounds per game including a 30-point effort in Elms' first victory of the season - a 76-56 triumph over Anna Maria College on Nov. 19. This is Parks' first NEWBA accolade of the season.
