Oyler, Parks Sweep NECC Weekly Honors in Women’s Basketball

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College sophomore forward Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) and freshman guard Jenna Oyler (Metuchen, N.J.) each earned New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) weekly honors in women's basketball as announced by the league office on Monday.

Parks earned her first NECC Player of the Week award after scoring a game-high 30 points on 12 of 17 of shooting from the floor (70.6-percent), including a stellar 6 of 7 from the free throw line against Anna Maria College. Parks also hauled in an impressive 16 rebounds, dished out two assists and recorded three steals as the Blazers topped the AMCATS, 76-56.

Oyler scored 13 points on 4 of 8 shooting from the field, and was a catalyst on offense handing out six assists. She also secured three boards and notched two steals in the winning effort. This is Oyler's first NECC Rookie of the Week award of the season.
