Murphy Named NECC Player Of The Week In Women's Basketball
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Elms College junior forward Erika Murphy (Torrington, Conn.) was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week in women's basketball as announced by the league on Monday.
Murphy guided the Blazers to a 1-1 week, connecting on 19 of 34 shooting from the field, and registering team-highs of 19 and 22 points against Daniel Webster and Newbury respectively. She also averaged 9.0 rebounds per game, hauling in a total of 18 including 11 in the win versus Newbury. For the week she dished out four assists and added four steals.
