Men's Golf Seventh At Blazer Spring Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Elms College men's golf team wrapped up their 2016-17 season with a seventh-place finish at the 2017 Blazer Spring Invitational, hosted by Elms at The Orchards Golf Club Monday afternoon.

The Blazers fired a team score of 330 in 18 holes of action. Junior Brian Cowles (East Longmeadow, Mass.) carded a team-low 77 to finish 12^th overall on the individual leaderboard. Freshman Matt King (Feeding Hills, Mass.) claimed a share of 23^rd with an 82, sophomore Chris Soderberg (Northampton, Mass.) tied at 31^st with an 85, and junior Mike Fleury (West Springfield, Mass.) was one stroke back in 35^th with an 86. Freshmen William Marchand (Springfield, Mass.) was 47^th with a 91, Mike McFadden (Northampton, Mass.) was 53th with a 98, and Devin Senerchia (Ludlow, Mass.) took 54^th with a 101.

Trinity College won the event with a team score of 300, while Bantams sophomore Will Rosenfield (Baltimore, Md.) was the individual medalist after winning a four-way, three-hole playoff. Babson (309) finished second, followed by Rhode Island College (312), UMass-Dartmouth (317), Westfield State (318), American International College (321), Elms, Springfield (332), Emmanuel (349), Johnson State (362), and MCLA completed the tournament scoreboard.
