Men's Golf Third At Myrtle Beach Shootout

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Elms College men's golf squad finished third during a tri-match with Penn State-Behrend and Penn State-Berkshire at the Barefoot Resort and Golf Club Norman Course Thursday afternoon.

The Blazers posted a team score of 336, led by a team-low 82 from freshman William Marchand (Springfield, Mass.). Sophomore Chris Soderberg (Northampton, Mass.) was one stroke back with an 83, followed by freshman Matt King (Feeding Hills, Mass.) with an 85 and juniors Mike Fleury (West Springfield, Mass.) and Brian Cowles (East Longmeadow, Mass.) at 86. Freshman Devin Senerchia (Ludlow, Mass.) carded a 98, while Mike McFadden () finished with a 101.

The Blazers will kick off their spring circuit at the Rhode Island College Invitational, hosted at Valley Country Club in Warwick on March 31 and April 1.
