Three Players Named All-NECC in Women’s Soccer
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Elms College women's soccer team had three players named All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Blazers' freshman midfielder Marissa Yowell (Ashland, Mass.) was named First Team All-NECC after scoring nine goals during league play to finish in a tie for second in the category. Yowell had three game-winners during Elms' conference slate which tied her for first in that category.
The Blazers also had a pair of Second Team All-NECC selections – junior forward Victoria Cebula (Granby, Mass.) and senior defender Leah Spring (South Hadley, Mass.). Cebula notched two goals and added three helpers during Elms' NECC schedule and Leah Spring was the anchor of the squad's defensive efforts, notching an assist while helping the Blazers secure four shutout victories against league foes.
